Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is a Romanian/German actress. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole children of Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the showbiz world early and was performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she turned 16. She was praised for her portrayal in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable parts, such as Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. Additional Oscar nominated movies featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra has been involved in many notable projects, both nationally as well as internationally. One of these is the British biographical film Control, Greek drama film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon. She has also been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as and at the Cannes Film Festival.
